Our New Project: 1930. Real Ferry

The Prince Leopold was built by Cockerill shipyard, Hoboken for Belgian Marine Administration (RMT). She commenced service between Ostend and Dover on August 2, 1930. Prince Leopold was a 2950-grt two-screw ship, with steel hull and six triple-expansion turbines in two independent groups.
In OTL, the ferry was commandeered by the Royal Navy in 1940, served as a landing ship, took part in the Normandy Landings and on July 29, 1944, was torpedoed by U-621.
